Electronics Repair & Refurbishment

Component-level electronics repair and cosmetic refurbishment for smartphones, tablets, laptops, robot vacuums, scooters, and more — performed at our Richmond Hill, Ontario facility.

Repair and refurbishment are the core of Atravesar’s bench work. When a returned or failed device arrives at our Richmond Hill facility, technicians focus on restoring function first, then appearance and reliability, so the unit can go back to a customer, a warranty pool, or certified inventory.

What we repair

We handle a broad set of consumer electronics commonly returned through Canadian retail and manufacturer channels:

  • Smartphones and tablets
  • Laptops and portable computing devices
  • Gaming hardware and accessories
  • Home appliances and smart home devices
  • Robot vacuums and mopping robots (including Narwal and ECOVACS)
  • Electric scooters and personal mobility products (including Segway / Ninebot)

Component-level repair

Many failures are not “whole unit” failures. A scooter may need a dashboard harness reseated. A robot vacuum may need a brush motor, water pump, or docking-station board. A laptop may need a connector, battery management path, or display assembly. Component-level work keeps more of the original product in service and usually costs less than replacement.

Our technicians diagnose against the reported symptom, confirm the root cause where possible, and only replace parts that are required for a durable fix. For brand programs we follow the cosmetic and functional standards you define for warranty versus refurbished grades. Guesswork replacements are avoided because they inflate cost and create unnecessary e-waste.

Cosmetic refurbishment

Retail-ready units often need more than electrical repair. We clean housings, replace worn exterior parts when authorized, address light cosmetic defects, and reassemble to a consistent finish. Refurbishment standards differ by brand program — some require near-new appearance; others accept graded B-stock with documented notes. Consistency matters more than perfection: buyers and internal teams need predictable grades.

Functional testing before return

A repair is not complete until the device behaves correctly in the ways that matter for that product: powers on, charges, connects, navigates, mows, docks, or otherwise performs its core jobs. We run model-appropriate checks and document the result so your team can audit outcomes. Units that fail final test return to the bench instead of shipping as “done.”

Consumers and B2B alike

Individual owners use our mail-in repair path. Brands and retailers typically combine this capability with managed repair programs and returns processing so volume stays organized. Non-repairable units can feed circular-economy harvest paths.
